Welcome to Givology Spiders, a chapter of the national microfundraising organization Givology. Givology Spiders was created in August 2009 by a group of University of Richmond students. The aim of the organization is to promote awareness of the lack of education available to Ugandan children. We particularly focus on a self-funded primary and secondary school called the Circle of Peace School. The chapter started with only seven members and by the next semester doubled in size, and is now comprised of both University undergraduate and recently graduated students.  The chapter has raised over $5400 in their first year of fundraising through small bake sales, diamond raffle and benefit concert. Through the collaboration of students, staff and community members, Givology Spiders’s vision is to spread the word about the Circle of Peace school and its continuous need in order to help them sustain this wonderful learning environment. Very simply, we want to support and hope to provide education to children in need.
